Photos and Video Recordings at GMA Events

The Georgia Municipal Association, Inc. and all GMA-managed entities (together, “GMA”) take photographs and video recordings of individuals and activities in public spaces at GMA events. By attending a GMA event, you acknowledge that you may be photographed or recorded in these public spaces.

GMA reserves the right to use any photograph or video taken by or on behalf of GMA at any event coordinated or administered by GMA, without the expressed written permission of those included in the image or recording. GMA may use such media in publications or other materials produced, used, or contracted by GMA, including but not limited to: social media, brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, and other print and digital platforms. Published images may include a description of the event and, when applicable, the individuals' names and titles.

GMA Event Photo Gallery Access

After select events, GMA may make a curated set of event photos available via a secure photo gallery platform. Individuals may access and download photos from the gallery using an event-specific access code provided by GMA to participants and stakeholders directly associated with the event.

Anyone accessing and downloading photos from the GMA gallery must agree to the Photo Gallery Terms of Use, which restrict image use to:

• Personal use, or
• Official use for and on behalf of a Georgia municipality

and prohibit modification, commercial use, or unauthorized redistribution of GMA-owned media.

The gallery may be updated periodically.

Release and Limitations

By participating in a GMA event, you agree to release, defend, and hold harmless GMA and all organizations for which GMA coordinates or administers events from any and all claims involving the use of your image or likeness for the purposes described above.

In some cases, GMA may be able to accommodate a request for an individual not to be photographed or recorded. If you wish to make such a request, please contact GMA at least five (5) days prior to the event at: communications@gacities.com.
